Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation:  The Caring for Carcinoid Foundation is now the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation!  "The name change comes after receiving input from patients, families, NET specialists, and researchers that a new name would honor the commitment to the vital work, but also reflect the range of patients and families dealing with NETs. Our new name is more inclusive of all types of neuroendocrine cancer and better reflects the current medical terminology for the disease."  For more information click here.  

Carcinoid Cancer Foundation:  "The most comprehensive and up-to-date repository of information about carcinoid and neuroendocrine tumors. The Lois Merrill Foundation: Founded in 2007 in the memory of Lois Merrill, devoted wife, mother and school teacher, the mission of the LMF is to help people affected by carcinoid and other rare cancers through funding research for new treatments, providing financial support for patients and their families, and promoting awareness and education. Los Angeles Carcinoid Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (LACNETS): "Supporting neuroendocrine cancer patients and their families through education and awareness." Monthly Patient Education Seminars are held at Cedars-Sinai. For more information, click here.

NorCal CarciNET Community:  "Our mission is to help those with neuroendocrine tumors and carcinoid to share challenges and experiences, learn about prognosis and treatments, find information, and improve communications between the medical community, patients and caregivers.  For more information click here

Healing NET Foundation:  A non-profit organiztion formed to raise awareness and to support and fund the best possible medical care for patients with NETs. Founders were Drs. Kjell Oberg (Sweden) and Eric Liu (U.S.)  For more information click here.  This site is sponsored by Novartis Pharmaceuticals, the manufacturer of Sandostatin-LAR and other drugs for the treatment of NETS.  There are multiple links for more information on a variety of issues. NET Alliance:  The NET Alliance is a Novartis Oncology initiative committed to supporting patients, caregivers, professionals, and advocates affected by NET.

Neuroendocrine Cancer Awareness Network (NCAN): A non-profit with a mission to intensify awareness of NETS.  NCAN provides access to information about NETS and funding for NET cancer research.
